Stacking isn't the same as applying two coats of one product — each layer brings its own chemistry, so you get deeper gloss, stronger hydrophobics and up to 3 years of protection from one application session.

Stacking coatings gives you the strengths of two different formulas rather than doubling down on one. Hydr8 goes down first, building a hard, hydrophobic base coat with a wide working window during application. Once it has cured, Type 3's blend of silicon dioxide, silicon nitride, polysilazane and graphene oxide goes over the top, adding further slickness and pushing total protection out to roughly 3 years. Both coatings use Instant Bond Technology, so each layer flashes and levels predictably instead of fighting you on the panel.

Apply Hydr8 first and let it cure per the instructions included with that product, then follow with Type 3 once the surface is ready for its coating.

Please Note

Apply Hydr8 first and allow it to flash and level before following with Type 3 on the same panel. Once both coatings are on, avoid washing the vehicle for a full 7 days to let the Type 3 layer fully cure.
