DIY Detail – Gold Standard Polish

This is magic juice. Used it with an Orbital polisher and wool pad. Made my car look NEW! wish I had before pics, paint was scratched grooved and a little faded from sun. Took away at least 99% of ugly scratches that I thought were impossible to remove without repainting. And it smells like a nice milky piña colada!

I just did a side-by-side comparison of this polish against what I had been previously using, on a very rough car hood.With the old products, I did two steps with cutting compound and cutting pads, then one with polish and a polishing pad.With the DIY Detail spray polish, I only had to do one step with a cutting pad, and one step with a polishing pad. To be honest, the results looked surprisingly good after just the cutting pad.The results with this polish were glossier, and visibly darker on the black hood. I ended up going over the whole hood with just this product and a medium polishing pad to get it all consistent. I'll be using this for the rest of the car, and probably many more going forward.Overall, this polish was very easy to use, delivered quick and high quality results, and was easy to remove with a dry microfiber. This process is different from any other. It contains both non diminishing abrasive and diminishing abrasives. It’s fully pad dependent, has the longest working life ever, but must be used as Yvan designed. You will do things that go against everything you were taught, but technology has changed. First, you will need a pad washer, the Lake Country 4000. The system is designed for a moist, freshly cleaned pad on every section. Next, use the recommended pads. 3rd, you’ll cut with a DA, then finish with a rotary. This is opposite of the general method but Yvan has engineered these simple techniques to work with the gold standard system. I’m getting incredible gloss, defects removed at very low clear coat loss. Today’s paint clear coatings are not designed to be corrected, it’s not a consideration the OEM even accounts for. Our goal is to do as little harm to the precious clear coat yet correcting what we can. The closer you follow Yvans process, the better your results will be, and the results are incredible.

By far my new favorite polish. Goes on so easy and comes off even easier. Plus, you do not have to worry about getting this polish on black trim because it will not stain it. It is my go-to every time now.

Absolutely love this polish. Long working time and almost no dusting. I have other polishes as well and this seems to have the best working time. Seems to be a medium cut or diminishing abrasive which works well with all pad types. I love the spray application. One quick squeeze on your pad is all you need. No product wasted. Just be sure you’re aimed at the pad and away from the vehicle so you don’t over spray .
